David Somerville is your 'normal, run-of-the-mill' science teacher and loyal Lion's Club member. As fate would have it, he wins his local club's lottery which includes a 'normal run-of-mill' hot air balloon ride. As it turns out, neither his ride nor his adventures are 'normal' nor are they 'run-of -the mill'. He encounters strange people, places and things that only apply to 'the privileged few'. The book is one of 'absurdist science fiction' with a bit of humor thrown in, along with a gibbisch or two. Think of the best fantasy book you've ever read. This is just like that, but better.
